Abstract

Spiritual growth is a fundamental aspect of Hindu philosophy, emphasizing self-awareness, devotion, meditation, ethical conduct, and detachment as key elements of self-realization and enlightenment. However, measuring an individual's spiritual progress remains subjective and lacks a structured quantitative approach. This research presents a fuzzy logic-based framework to model and evaluate spiritual growth by incorporating key Hindu spiritual principles. The study defines five key input variables—Self-Awareness, Devotion (Bhakti), Meditation (Dhyana), Ethical Conduct (Dharma), and Detachment (Vairagya)—and a single output variable, Spiritual Level. A Mamdani fuzzy inference system is developed using MATLAB, employing trapezoidal and triangular membership functions to handle uncertainties in spiritual assessment. The system integrates rule-based inference to categorize an individual’s spiritual state into four levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Enlightened. The proposed model offers a structured methodology to analyze spiritual progress, aiding spiritual practitioners and researchers in assessing personal growth through computational intelligence. Simulation results validate the model's effectiveness, demonstrating its potential application in personalized spiritual guidance.
