Author Guidelines

Submission

Thank you for considering submission to the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Explorer (IJMRE), an open-access, peer-reviewed journal. Please review our APC & Fee Policy before submission.

Manuscripts may be submitted as a single document in Word, RTF, or PDF format. Tables and figures may be included within the text or placed at the end of the manuscript. If your paper is accepted, you will be asked to revise it into the official IJMRE format (see Accepted Manuscript section).

Types of Articles

IJMRE accepts a wide range of article types. Word counts exclude abstract, tables, figures, and references.

  • Experimental and Observational Research – structured abstract (≤300 words), manuscript up to 4000 words.

  • Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research – up to 5500 words.

  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses – structured abstract (≤300 words), manuscript up to 3500 words (tables excluded).

Ethical Responsibility

All research must be conducted ethically and responsibly. Authors should follow the detailed requirements outlined in the Methods section of their manuscript. Please review the full Ethical Statements provided on the journal website.

Recommended Reporting Guidelines

IJMRE requires authors to follow established international reporting standards to ensure transparency and consistency. Articles not meeting these standards will be returned for revision before review.

Relevant guidelines include:

  • CONSORT – Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials

  • PRISMA – Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

  • ENTREQ – Qualitative Synthesis

  • COREQ – Qualitative Research

  • CARE – Clinical Case Reporting

  • SAMPL – Statistical Analyses and Methods in Published Literature

Submitting the completed checklist with your manuscript is optional but encouraged.

Revisions

When preparing a revised manuscript, authors must:

  • Use track changes to highlight modifications.

  • Provide a cover letter outlining:

    • Changes made in response to reviewer comments.

    • Justification for any suggestions not incorporated.

Deadlines:

  • Revisions submitted after 3 months may undergo a new review cycle.

  • Files not received within 6 months may be closed.

How to Submit Revisions:

  1. Log into your account and select your manuscript under My Queue.

  2. Upload revised files via the Revisions section on the Review tab.

  3. Notify the editor by starting a Review Discussion, attaching your cover letter and any files if needed.

Accepted Manuscript

Once accepted, authors must prepare the final manuscript as per IJMRE requirements:

  • Lead/Corresponding Author Responsibilities:

    • Verify all author details, references, and figure legends.

    • Ensure metadata (title, abstract, authorship) matches the final manuscript.

    • Respond promptly to queries from the Copyeditor, Layout Editor, and Proofreader.

  • Formatting Requirements:

    • Final files should be submitted in Word format.

    • Follow Specific Manuscript Components guidelines.

    • Clearly state measurement units and place names.

  • Tables and Figures:

    • Upload as supplementary files for copyediting.

  • References:

    • Format according to AMA style before copyediting.

  • Copyediting Review:

    • Use track changes for edits.

    • Discuss any modifications with the Copyeditor and Production Editor.
