Peer-Review Process

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Explorer (IJMRE) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous and fair evaluation process to ensure quality, originality, and academic integrity.

Peer Reviewer Policy

IJMRE follows a double-blind peer review  where the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and are expected to provide unbiased, constructive, and ethical feedback. Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality and must not share, store, or upload the manuscript to any third-party platforms, including AI-based tools, due to privacy, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.

All reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if they cannot provide an objective evaluation. The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations and overall manuscript quality.

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through the journal’s online system or email. All submissions must comply with IJMRE’s formatting, ethical, and scope guidelines.

2. Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor conducts an initial assessment to check:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Academic and linguistic quality
  • Originality and absence of ethical issues (plagiarism, data fabrication)

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be desk-rejected without external review.

3. Reviewer Selection

The editor assigns the manuscript to two qualified reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewer selection is based on experience, research background, and availability.

4. Peer Review

Reviewers assess the manuscript on multiple criteria including:

  • Scientific soundness and accuracy
  • Original contribution and novelty
  • Significance of results
  • Clarity, structure, and coherence
  • Methodological and ethical standards
  • Quality of references

Each reviewer submits:

  • Comments for the editor
  • Comments for the author
  • A recommendation (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject)

5. Editorial Decision

The editor evaluates reviewer comments and makes a decision:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The decision is communicated to the author along with reviewer feedback.

6. Revision and Resubmission

Authors revise the manuscript according to reviewer suggestions and submit a response-to-reviewers document explaining each change.

For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be sent back to reviewers for re-evaluation.

7. Final Decision

After satisfactory revisions, the editor makes the final acceptance decision. The paper then moves to copyediting and production.

8. Publication

Accepted papers are formatted, proofread, and published online with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
