Authors who utilize generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools or related technologies during manuscript preparation are required to clearly disclose this in their submission. The disclosure should appear in the Materials and Methods section or Acknowledgment/Supplementary Information section and must include:
AI tools may be employed only to enhance readability, language clarity, grammar, or translation quality. The use of AI to generate research content, produce data, or perform analyses is strictly prohibited. Authors are fully responsible for verifying and editing all AI-assisted outputs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with ethical standards.
The final responsibility for the originality, validity, and integrity of the manuscript lies entirely with the authors. AI tools cannot be credited as authors or co-authors, as authorship requires human accountability, approval of the final version, and adherence to ethical standards criteria that AI systems cannot meet.
The use of AI-generated or AI-modified images, figures, or illustrations is not permitted, except when such use forms a necessary part of the research methodology. In such cases, authors must explicitly describe the AI tool used (including version and purpose) in the Methods section.
This restriction does not apply to the use of AI-based tools for creating graphs or visualizations from original author-generated data. In these cases, AI is treated as a design aid, similar to other software tools (e.g., Excel), and the resulting visuals must accurately and transparently represent the underlying data.
Failure to disclose the use of AI tools will be treated as a breach of publication ethics and may result in the rejection of the manuscript or other disciplinary action. The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Explorer (IJMRE) reserves the right to perform AI-content detection using reliable and verified detection tools.
